Stonepath Design Studio
A small team doing honest work at a fair price. Here's who we are and why we built Stonepath.
We’ve Seen How This Industry Can Treat People
A few years ago, a small business owner came to us with a problem. They had just paid $12,000 for a new website. It was slow, it looked cheap, and it was riddled with issues that needed fixing almost immediately after launch. What they didn’t know at the time was that the person they hired had taken their money, outsourced the entire project overseas for a fraction of the cost, pocketed the difference (we suspected about ten grand!), and walked away.
It’s not an isolated story. It happens constantly, in web development and in plenty of other industries. Most people aren’t experts in everything. You’re great at running your business. You shouldn’t also have to be an expert in web development to avoid getting taken advantage of by someone who is.
We think about it the same way we think about finding a good mechanic. If you don’t know much about cars, you’re trusting someone else’s judgment and integrity every time you bring your vehicle in. An honest mechanic who does good work at a fair price isn’t just convenient. They’re genuinely valuable. That’s the kind of business we set out to be.
Why We Built Stonepath
The standard pricing for a professionally built small business website sits somewhere between $3,000 and $8,000, and that’s before you factor in hosting, maintenance, updates, and everything else that comes after launch. For a lot of small business owners, that number is simply out of reach. And even for those who can afford it, a large upfront payment is a hard thing to justify for something you can’t fully evaluate until it’s already done.
We built Stonepath around a different model. A flat monthly rate, no onboarding fees, no surprise costs, and no large payment required before we’ve earned your trust. You pay, we get to work, and your website is up and running faster than you’d expect. From there, it stays our responsibility, not yours.
The goal was to build a firm that could do genuinely great work, treat clients honestly, and still offer pricing that a small business owner could actually say yes to without losing sleep. We think that’s a reasonable thing to want from a vendor, and we were frustrated that it was so hard to find.
Who We Are
Stonepath is a small team by design. We have a developer who hand-builds every site from scratch, a professional copywriter who handles all of the content, a marketer who ensures your site and your Google presence are actually working to bring in customers, and a small group of account managers who serve as the direct point of contact for our clients.
That last part matters more than it might sound. When you have a question, a request, or a concern, you’re reaching a real person who knows your account. Not a support ticket system. Not a chatbot. A person who can look at your site, understand what you need, and make it happen.
We keep our client roster intentionally small. Not because we’re turning away business for the sake of it, but because the hands-off experience we promise our clients only works if we have the bandwidth to actually deliver it. Growth that comes at the cost of that promise isn’t growth we’re interested in.
Honest Work
We charge a fair price, we do what we say we're going to do, and we don't disappear after you've paid us. That should be the baseline, and for us it is.
Real Communication
You'll always have a real person to reach. We want our clients to feel heard, not managed. If something isn't right, we want to know about it.
Less on Your Plate
You started your business to do what you're good at, not to manage a website. We take that off your hands completely and keep it off.
What Working With Us Actually Looks Like
You reach out, we learn about your business, and we get to work building something that reflects it well and is designed to bring in customers. Within a few weeks, you have a fast, professional, well-written website live on the internet.
After that, you mostly forget about it. Every so often you’ll send a quick message because you hired someone new, changed your hours, or want to run a promotion. We handle it, usually the same day, and you get back to running your business.
No logins. No software to learn. No wondering why something looks broken on your phone. Just a website that works, maintained by people who care whether it keeps working.
That’s the whole idea. We think it’s a good one.
Ready to Stop Worrying About Your Website?
Your site should work for you, not against you. Stonepath builds websites that convert visitors into customers, then handles all the updates, maintenance, and optimization so you never have to think about it again.
